The Sweetwater Kiwanis Club is jointly sponsoring the 44th annual Christmas Parade in Sweetwater on Friday, Dec. 4th, at 7 p.m. The parade route was from Mayes Avenue then ended at Sweetwater High School. Thanks to all the Kiwanis volunteers that made it happen and our sponsors who have been faithful supporters of Kiwanis. Special thanks to Charlie Ridenour, Harris Lovingood who have consistently leading parade efforts, engaged sponsors, and rustling up other Kiwanians to put this on.
The Key Club and Builders club plan to put together a float with the help of their advisors, Robert West and Dr Prater.
Join the fun this year’s Christmas Parade!
Santa’s Workshop
Helping the Sweetwater HeadStart Program
Every year we’re so blessed to have Santa take out time from his busy schedule and visit children at the Sweetwater Head-Start. Mr. and Mrs Claus bring presents to these children and smiles are plentiful. The children also treat Kiwanis members with Christmas carols as a way of saying thank you.
The Kiwanis Annual Beans & Bingo was held on Saturday, Feb 28 at 6pm at the First Methodist Church Sweetwater. We had a great turnout and was able to raise over $500 for project affecting local children.
